Furukawa Special Metals Co.,Ltd. was founded.
Jun. 1959
Started manufacturing Copper nickel wire, Constantan wire, Pure iron, Phosphor Bronze wire, etc.
Sep. 1963
Started manufacturing the first ISA special grade thermocouple extension cables in Japan. Delivered to Chubu Electric Power Owase Thermal Power Station.
Aug. 1966
Started manufacturing Furukawa D alloy strips for heat-resistant springs.
May. 1967
Obtained approval from TEPCO for thermocouple extension cables
May. 1969
Obtained approval from Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation for Cubro nickel wire for crossbar

Started manufacturing JIS C2520 nickel chrome heating wire (36906) JIS C2521 copper nickel resistance wire (36905) JIS C2522 copper manganese wire and rod (36904)
